Sonny

This morning I drove to South Euclid to pick up an eight-year-old Westie, Sonny being surrendered by his elderly owner because the owner was having knee replacement surgery this week and did not feel able to keep Sonny.  There was no fenced yard and leash walks were going to be out of the question during his hospitalization and recovery.

Sonny went to live in Beaver, PA with a couple whose male Westie rescue, Robbie, died a few months ago.  First thing Sonny did upon meeting his new family was “mark” on his new owner’s leather cowboy boot.  Was he claiming him? When I left he had tried on his new leather bomber jacket for inclement weather, and having a great time playing with his new Westie sister, Katie
