Kadie & Shorty

Anyone who listens to Public Radio is familiar with the phrase; “It’s been a quiet week in Lake Woebegon”.  It has NOT been a quiet month in rescue.
We acquired Kadie and Shorty from a lady in Cleveland who was being evicted and had nowhere to live but her pick-up truck.  It was very difficult for her to give up her companions, but they are each living a very different life now.  Kadie is bossing around her new big sister, a black lab, and going to work each day with her new owner.
Shorty is living the spoiled life with a wealthy widow.  We also placed Skippy, a guy who has been in foster since January while his mange was treated and he was neutered and housebroken.  He has found a family with a Westie sister.  She is enjoying being the boss of someone.
This week we have a five-year-old male, Archie, at our house.  He thinks it’s much easier learning to live with a pack of Westies instead of two-year-old twin children.  On Saturday he will go to his new home with a lab and a sheltie.
Thanks to those who support the club’s rescue program financially.  Please let me know if you can help foster too!
